Position: Software Engineer (Go / SOAP API) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 06+ Months Contract Job Description: GENERAL SUMMARY: Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications across the full DevOps lifecycle. Applies technical expertise and creativity to solve business problems through front-end, back-end, and integration development. Supports the evaluation of user requirements, improves existing systems, and manages API integrations. Requires a strong understanding of GPC's platform and infrastructure. Participates in the Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process. Builds and maintains infrastructure provisioning pipelines Ensures automation and provisioning scripts align with operational readiness, alerting standards, and recovery protocols. Consistently writes, translates, and codes software programs and applications according to specifications. Build and maintain automation scripts in Python (or similar) for integration, data transformation, and task automation. Design and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs; builds and manages external API interfaces and handles structured payloads (e.g., JSON, XML). Creates and manages configuration files using YAML and JSON for defining data models, automation schemas, and workflow logic. Builds automated workflows to coordinate tasks across platforms and systems, integrating business logic with technical processes. Runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
